Stone Armory is an e-commerce site that sells collegiate beads, charms, bracelets and other college jewelry. The site is mobile responsive and integrates with Teapplix shipping and order management software. Powered by Iris, the site is now more SEO friendly and accessible by a wide range of devices. We even migrated product data from the client's existing Magento storefront which helped make the transition to their new site a smooth one. In just a few weeks after launch, the new site has double the traffic and now appears in the top 5 positions on the first page of Google search results for wide variety of targeted keywords and phrases.
The Verve is a blog, originally developed with WordPress, that we re-developed using Iris. We migrated over all the existing WordPress posts and were able to retain the Facebook "like" count by storing the old blog post URLs in the database. We could then associated the old the URLs with the like count while still using new SEO-friendly URLs. The site is mobile responsive as well.
Opinions, LTD is a local market research company. This site is powered by our Iris content management system and allows the site admin to manage content and various "locations" that appear as pins on a map. The site is mobile responsive, making it easier for users to access the site on their mobile phones and tablets.
Available for iOS and Android, the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL) app lets you view dogs, cats and small mammals that are currently available for adoption at the Cleveland APL's downtown location and PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center in Parma. It will benefit anyone looking to adopt an animal now or in the future. You can also save your favorite animals within the app, learn about the APL and its programs and services, and ways you can help support the APL and its mission to foster compassion and end animal suffering.
One of our example WordPress sites, AccountingCoach is an online book keeping course and training site. Designed by and developed with SimpleSquare, users can pay for a "pro" membership to access content not available to "free" non-paying users. The site admin uses custom WordPress plugins we developed to manage online interactive exams and quizzes that users take and are subsequently graded on. The site is fully responsive and works on both tablets and smart phones.
The site for the Association of Dental Support Organizations was developed in conjunction with Convey 360, a local creative agency. The site is responsive and utilizes our CMS. This site was a bit of a challenge because of the "boxes" of content that are scattered across the pages. Since these boxes shift positions depending on the size of the browser window, we had to build the CMS in such a way that it was easy to manage the content boxes - something that would normally be very difficult to do using Wordpress or another "off the shelf" CMS. It should also be noted, since launching their new site in August of 2013, their traffic increased 160%.
MyScrapNetwork is a site for people who buy and sell scrap metal. The site is fully responsive and utilizes our PHP framework and Iris. Users purchase a monthly membership to gain access to the site and can post offers and requests for various scrap materials. Users can then send private messages back and fourth via the site and participate in public discussions. Users can search for other companies and make contacts as well. The site has email notifications, usage reports an advertising system (for vendors to purchase ad space) and more. While this project is definitely more complex in nature, is a good example of our capabilities should you need more complex development work in the future.
In conjunction with the Case Western Reserve University, this site was developed to allow students to apply for an externship program. Originally, we were turned down for the job because the people running program were convinced they wanted Wordpress (we were, of course, suggesting they avoid it). Nine months later, they came back and said they had made a mistake and realized the Wordpress developers working on their site weren't capable of integrating the functionality they needed and expressed their unhappiness with the Wordpress interface. We re-developed the site from scratch and have been working with them for the past two years making enhancements and changes to the functionality as their program grows.
Marvel Consultants, Inc. provides permanent placements for key positions across the country. Having been in business since 1973, they noticed that times were changing and that a large number talented young people were beginning to use their smartphones to seek professional employment. Marvel's old site was dated and difficult to navigate on a mobile device, potentially turning many would-be candidates away. To help reach more qualified candidates, Marvel Consultants re-designed their site and made it mobile friendly to maximize their reach and make information more accessible.
Chestnut Hill Realty is a boutique real estate company that specializes in selling exclusive homes in the Cleveland area. The administration section of their site (which allows them to add/edit/delete listings) was rebuilt from the ground up to address usability issues present in their old system. The new site also takes advantage of some very valuable new features. Users can now search for properties via their MLS# or other various search criteria such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Listings are pinpointed on an interactive map to help the buyer locate them. Other enhancements such as tagging individual listings as "favorites" for viewing later and emailing that list to a friend round out what has really become a far more valuable site for both Chestnut Hill Realty and their customers.
