The Problem

eBrokerHouse is a members-only business application that services hundreds of real estate brokerage firms across the country on a daily basis. With that in mind, it is clear that proper and efficient document management is essential to the health of the business, and the satisfaction of their customers. But eBrokerHouse had a problem. Their document manager was hard to use, unintuitive, and inefficient. Documents could be moved, deleted, and renamed only one at a time, scrolling to the bottom of the page after each page refresh. It was difficult to navigate from folder to folder. For brokers dealing with quite literally tens or hundreds of documents per listing, it just couldn't meet their needs anymore.

The Solution

It was clear that eBrokerHouse needed an intuitive, fluid interface that would behave the way any computer user would expect. No expense in effort was spared to provide this. A folder tree was added for easy navigation from folder to folder, even levels and levels away. Documents were reorganized into a new, more sensible tree structure. A new mouse-based drag and drop interface was created, making dealing with multiple files a breeze without ever refreshing the page. Rich backup features, disk usage utilities and limits, directory templates, copy and paste, search functionality - just some of the many great features that were developed.
